Your engagement(s) can steer towards full or part-time engagements, paid or unpaid, covering academic research, data science, AI, software engineering, finance, business, project management, recruitment and HR.

  • QuantDAO is an open-source project built and managed by the community. Verified Contributors are selected individuals from various backgrounds around the world who will be in-charge of QuantDAO research and development. Verified Contributors will support the project with their expertise and knowledge.

 

Is there any required knowledge I should have?

  • It is recommended that participants have prior knowledge about technology or finance but it is not mandatory.

 

If I’m a junior or inexperienced in the industry, will I be trained?

  • Yes, you will be working under an industry professional supervisor who will help bring you up to speed on any work you are required to do.

 

What will I get out of this?

  • QuantDAO is an open-source project that can help thousands if not millions of people in the future. The core technology will be the gateway to the web 3.0 world. Think about those that got to work on the Python 1.0 project many decades ago. As part of your contribution, you may be eligible for QuantDAO governance tokens. You will be able to participate in the DAO—submitting a proposal, reviewing others' work and voting for proposals.

Who is behind the project
We are a team of experienced engineers, traders, data scientists, financial mathematicians and talented software developers based out of Sydney and San Francisco. Our team is extremely passionate about building open source tools to innovate. We aim to contribute to the creation of open, fair and accessible financial systems, open enterprise solutions and promote DLT use-cases that are revolutionary beyond finance.

What is web 3.0?

Web 3 is the vision of the serverless internet, the decentralised web. An internet where users are in control of their own data, identity and destiny.

The new industry
The big shift in the current web and connected systems are the innovation of financialization of traditional finance—decentralized finance (DeFi), self-custody finance applications and peer-to-peer financial services on public blockchains and machines—financialization of machines and video gaming (GameFi) and metaverse—enable of trade virtual goods, games, worlds owned by its users.

What is the outcome of being a contributor? Will I get hired as a contractor?
  • Yes, we are looking for passionate individuals to join the core team for the long term. Verified Contributor is a great path to being hired premaritally by the protocol/DAO. Verified contributors can only be eligible for governance tokens but permanent roles receive a salary.

  • You may coordinate with your teams to work remotely, though we do prefer face-to-face.
